I think you are on the money about her anxiety and the need to be perfect. What my ex doesn't realize is that sometimes she is just like this with me. Thank you so much. My ex told me that her mom is a control freak and her sister and brother in laws are doctors and my girlfriend said that her brother in law takes 2 hours to do the dishes because he is such a fanatic about cleanliness. She is the opposite of " just go with the flow " type of person. This kind of behavior seems to run in the family as her mom is super controlling too. I love this post. To the point where she told me she doesn't like going to see her family.
