The reason his exes left him, could be the usual reasons. Bad sex, he wasnt romantic enough, maybe took them for granted, maybe they were on the rebound and got back with their exes, could be anything. At least that might be what he thinks he has to do, he doesnt know anything else. But since he doesnt know what he did wrong then, he's taking it out on you, trying to force you to not desire anyone else. He knows why he's jealous. Of course those women left him for new men, probably right away, and he might have gotten clues of when he felt the distance before the breakup.

Personally, I think there are different, yet equal, paths for everyone. Heh. If this path isn't fitting, try something else. There were always men orbiting; you know, friends. On the other end you may find it to be totally worthwhile. At least you learned a bit about women with a lot of male friends. My take? Cramming oneself into a mold that doesn't fit can be disheartening and frustrating.
