You've already defined it otherwise. BUT when you have feelings for him and want it to be more than just sex, you can't continue the FWB or 'no strings attached' sex and expect that it will grow into a relationship. He's in charge. If it continues that way I'm willing to bet that it won't develop into a relationship at all. Which might be o.k if that's what you both want. What you're having is no strings attached sex. You're having 'fun' with him w/o defining the 'relationship'. I know this might not be true all of the time, but I think usually once you start that way it's hard for you to be 'the one in charge'.

Is there a compromise anyone can think of? I told her I didn't care if she read the site to get information about how American banks work or the differences between America and her country, but I didn't want her reading all of these depressing stories about marriages falling apart - it just seems to set the wrong tone for our relationship from the start. Am I being overly sensitive or is she being insensitive?

He said this girl was just someone who was a friend from way back and although they talked on the phone, she had a hard time construing the difference. I flirted openly, and on some level, she responded. And I pretty much fell for her instantly. I got drunk and basically showed my hand - I didn't say I like her in so many words but said she was he reason I went to the gym, plus that she had an amazing body etc. I wondered whether she was lesbian / bi and hoped she was. Ok, met a woman at the gym. The first day I turned up, I just got this vibe that she was interested.
