So give it a try....invite him over for a home cooked dinner...make sure the HOME is really cozy...and also....buy him a tooth brush or something to signify that you like him in your home.

Yeah, it kind of kills me a little inside when she does things like this, but objectively speaking, she doesn't treat me all that well most of the time. When she introduces me to people she doesn't even say "this is my friend, useless." She introduces me as just her roommate. lol....no need for clues. Not even close. Since we've been living together she has turned our relationship from one of being friends to one of being just roommates. I'm pretty much convinced that in no way does she feel about me the same way I feel about her.

She probably wasn't thinking rationally. Of course she was going to yes and choose him at that time. All it is doing is putting off the inevitable. She was begging and pleading and crying at that point. I don't agree with it was effective.
