It's totally reasonable to expect a man who is the same -- clear and assertive. Not needy and aggressive, not passive aggressive, but clear and assertive. I think it's all well and good to want communication. Here, you've mostly talked about something you need to fix --- being clear and assertive. A man can't help you fix that; you have to fix it first.
