All I would say is, heed the warning signs now and don't feel bad if you need to confront him about it. If it troubles you now, and he knows nothing of it, it could turn quite nasty in years to come. This isn't to say you don't love him very much, but you really need to feel that you are being treated with respect and nothing else. I can see this leading to complications the further ahead you go with your relationship, because it gets messy once you are living together and still have these financial strains.
