if it happens to be a week day date, I'm fine with that too And yes, as a woman...I love weekend dates but if its a first date I try to schedule it asap...

On the other hand, if she hasn't had that problem before then it is something about you that she is doubts which is more of a problem.

I was because I still love her. Not wanting anyone to suspect anything, she came out with me and a friend and we got on ok, no hint of any trouble between us but on the drive home I told her I was still struggling to accept it, she broke down again because she thought I was being genuine when we were out.

Even pre-schoolers are aware gifts are... gifts, you take them or not, but at least be grateful... If OP is not paying for her meal AND complaining about food it is just hilarious to say she's not pretentious.
