After all, that's what it's for. Tomorrow is another day. I don't mean to be wallowing in self pity but I can't lament certain things to others I actually know and use this forum as a sounding board.

She confronted me first about her feelings for me. Others feel the opposite. I also have fear of possibly hurting her if things dont work out. I met someone about 4 months ago and we have been just friends. I have some people telling me I should date multiple people, explore, see whats out there. Not that I have a problem being monogamous in a relationship, just that my guard is up after being hurt by my ex. I started going out with people but more as just friends than a real date. About a year ago my wife left me and the divorce was final about 4 mths ago (10 yr marriage, 13 year relationship). I do have feelings for her (confused as hell though) but at the same time Im afraid to be intimate with her because it would be the "next" step in our relationship. Ive never dated multiple people at the same time nor do I feel comfortable about it. Since ive been out of the dating game for 13-14 years, what is more common to do, date multiple or a single person at a time? About a month we have been spending more time together and others see this as "seeing" each other.

There's no way I would even consider living with an untrained pit/shepherd/person in an apartment. I think you just have to make it non-negotiable and let the chips fall where they may. This is the key factor. I've raised and trained three German Shepherds and spent countless hours studying and training. The unique combination of master and dog determine suitability to a given environment. Great dogs are the result of breeding, some degree of luck and a master who actually understands how to develop the potential. Dogs are really a lifestyle not an amusement. It's a huge commitment to do it right, and if you can't make the commitment you're in for disappointment at best, trouble at the worst.
